Synergy is described in different ways by different
authorities. I am but a single person and am certainly not
considered an authority by any stretch of the imagination.
This is just a basic discussion for what I have discovered
in my efforts in online activity. Given the diverse expanse
of understanding that is available online, I hope to
encourage some dialogue to expand my knowledge and education
on this topic. So, what is Synergism to me? In my desktop dictionary I find this...
Synergism - combined action, greater in total effect than
the sum of their effects.
I'm sure there are more detailed definitions like the one I
found at Wikopedia, but I will just try to expound a little
on the one I found and add a little to it based upon some
experience that I have had which involves Synergism.
One example of synergism would be the use of a group of
people advertising the same link for the common purpose of
increasing the total membership to the associated program.
That program may be for the purpose of developing
friendships, Internet related sales, advertising or simply
to influence change in the way things are done.
One could argue that I just described an affiliate program.
Yes, it seems that way, but I stated everyone advertised the
same link not his own affiliate link. So, how is it that the
individual can gain from the synergism of the group? Well,
it depends on the structure of the program which is way more
difficult to describe here in this small place. I can
recommend a site that uses what we call "group synergy" if
you care to discuss it further.
What we can assume is that the model that uses group synergy
or synergism is likely to have a larger result than the
total of its membership. So, a totally synergistic program
should work and grow exponentially I would predict.
Somebody else could argue that I just described an MLM
program. Well, I suppose that could a valid discussion too
except that an MLM program has each individual person doing
what he does for himself and not for the good of the group.
Like I said before... with synergism, all participants
advertise the same link... for the good of the whole group.
Then how can synergism be useful? Or how can an individual
benefit from synergism? An example of how synergism is
useful is a program that trains and develops its members to
work together to build the whole membership. One way to do
this is by utilizing a group to advertise a single link and
giving all of the prospects who come in by that exercise to
the newer members who have been given an education or
trained within the program. This activity will grow the
newer members' teams as well as grow the overall membership.
As a result, the concept enhances the relationships that are
created and gives strength to the whole membership.
I know of only one such business online today. I searched
high and wide to find a program where I could build an
income without going into debt to do it. Most of the
programs would loose members because it cost too much to be
a member before seeing any profits. Members were required to
pay a monthly fee just to be a member of that program.
Additionally, by virtue of the design of the program or
business, the fact that they were in competition with all of
the other members the minute they began.
With synergism, nobody feels like they are in competition
with anybody else. Thus, a total sense of friendship... like
a huge online family... is developed. Every other business I
have seen is so covered with HYPE. I was beginning to think
that nobody even considered the idea of using a common sense
approach... Until now.
If you know of another business or plan that uses a
synergism model, I would like to hear from you.
