Hey Y'all,
I bet some of y'all will be needing anti-virus or anti-spyware software in the next year. Here are the best programs I've found (they are listed as links at the bottom). By the way, all of these are totally free. Avast Anti-virus - An amazing anti-virus and anti-malware program. It has a resident scanner which is always checking your computer for viruses and malware.
Spybot Search & Destroy - A great anti-spyware program which not only scans for it, but has a resident shield, a software monitor, which makes sure no bad software runs on your computer, and a spyware "firewall," which will immunize your computer against certain spyware.
Ad-Aware 2007 - Another great anti-spyware program which will scan your computer for spyware and finds some things that Spybot S & D might not find.
Spyware Blaster - A spyware "firewall" that doesn't scan but will immunize your computer against most spyware.
ZoneAlarm Firewall - An amzing firewall to accompany all the above programs.
I use all of these programs in accord and they work amazingly!!
Lastly, some people will reccommend using AVG anti-virus. Don't! It is not good. It missed almost all the viruses I had, whereas Avast caught all of them.
