If you are concerned about water conservation or are just looking for ways to lower your monthly bills, here is an idea that can help. What You will Need:
To begin with, you will need to replace your existing shower head with a three feet long (the length can vary according to personal preference) hose and a hand held sprayer type attachment.
The average cost for this arrangement varies but is usually around $30 or so. It will also require a hardware adaptor to adapt the shower head piping to to attach the hose to. You will need to consult your local hardware store's plumbing department for the exact parts needed.
It is important to note that this need not be complicated to set up, it is simply a showerhead replacement with a length of hose to attach the piping to the sprayer.
Once you have all of the parts mentioned simply remove the old shower head and replace it with the adapter and hose with the hand held sprayer on the other end of the hose.
How it works:
The three minute shower works something like this:
1) Spray yourself down.
2) Lather up with your favorite soap and shampoo.
3) Spray yourself off()I.E. rinse)
You're done!
This idea may take a little getting used to but it can go a long way in helping you to save money on both your water and electric bills.
