They're not mere cats - they're Beatles
Zoo's meerkats named after the Fab Four These four meerkats named John, Paul, George and Ringo have just moved from London Zoo into their new home at Whipsnade. And now the fab four can look forward to days sitting back and enjoying their new space eight days a week. The meerkat exhibit, a first for Whipsnade, can be found just inside the entrance of the Lions of the Serengeti enclosure. Visitors will be delighted to watch these highly sociable animals having fun in the sun. And they will be out in force to enjoy Zoo Nights on July 4, when Whipsnade Zoo stays open late for an evening of displays, entertainment and beautiful views of animals. Author: Bev Peck
