Tiny Details, A Home Assembly Company
Tiny Details is a company based in Groton, NY that manufactures miniature accessories for dollhouses. They invite home assemblers to make items like miniature books, diaries, magazines, notepads, playing cards, money, and more. When you order your kit, you pay a deposit of $55. This is the company’s protection of their materials, they want to make sure you will work on the kit, complete it, and send it back instead of giving up when you see how small the items are. The deposit will be returned to you with the payment for your completed work, unless you wish to order another kit; in that case, you tell the company to use the deposit money towards the next kit. I had come across this company last summer while searching the Internet for some legitimate work-at-home opportunity, preferably crafts or assembly. Tiny Details caught my attention; I loved the items they were giving out to home assemblers to make. I had my reservations though; we all know about the possibility of getting scammed. I did some research and found customer complaints about Tiny Details; however, I also saw that the company answered complaints and explained the situation. The explanations seemed reasonable enough. I decided to give it a try and ordered a kit of miniature playing cards to make. I did get paid, but it was a long and tiresome process. The company takes very long time to send the kit, review your sample, then review the completed work and mail your check. While the kit was actually fun to work on, I did not like the long waiting time and having to keep calling the company to get things moving.
