Traffic Generation - Article Marketing

Article marketing can be a very good way to generate traffic to your site, and it’s quite simple to do. First, you need to create a 400-600 word article on a topic in your niche. Use other articles to help you research what you want to write about. One note about doing that: NEVER copy anyone’s article and try to pass it off as your own! Instead, use a number of articles to help stimulate your mind and come up with your own, unique article. Make sure to create an author bio box, which is just a small blurb about you and a link to your website or blog. Most places you can submit your article to will allow an author bio box. Just be aware, though, that most do not allow you to link to an affiliate program. You need to make sure you only link to your main site or blog.

One of the keys to successfully using article marketing to generate traffic is to continually create and submit them to the article directories. One article (most likely) will NOT generate a ton of traffic. Having a constant flow of articles, such as at least one new article every few days, is a good way to keep the traffic flowing. Now, having said that, if you create a very good article that is picked up by a bunch of webmasters searching for content on their site, that one article CAN create a decent flow of traffic to your site. Just DO NOT count on that happening from just one article!
