Traffic Generation – Forum and Group Marketing Here is part four in a series about how to drive traffic to your site. In this fourth part, I want to talk about using Forums and Groups to help bring traffic to your website. Accessing and using forums and groups in your niche can be a great way to help you get a steady stream of targeted traffic. The key here is to find, join and interact within those forums and groups in a helpful way. You do NOT want to go into a new group or forum and spam. That will get you nowhere. You need to make useful and relevant posts in your niche, while not blatantly spamming, will drive traffic to your site. People will see you as a helpful, caring person. So, if you don’t spam them, how do you get them to your site? Easy – utilize your signature line/area. Most forums and groups allow you to use 1-5 lines of text. The key is to create a compelling title in your signature area without making it appear as too sales-like. You can find relevant forums by going to Big Boards and searching for forums in your niche. And for finding relevant groups, search for Google Groups, MSN Groups, Yahoo Groups, and MySpace Groups.
