Traffic Generation – Squidoo and Hub Pages

Squidoo is about 2 years old now and has taken the internet social marketing scene by storm. Squidoo allows you to create a totally free site (called a Squidoo Lens). But the really neat thing about Squidoo is that the search engines LOVE them…especially Google. Now, about a year ago, many Squidoo lenses received the dreaded Google Slap and many well-ranked Squidoo lenses were punished with lower Page Ranks. That prompted the Squidoo community (admins) to start cracking down on spam lenses, which has helped bring back some of Google’s love for lenses. So, if you use these free lenses wisely, you can still create a sweet piece of marketing real estate. Just create useful lenses, as I talked about in previous Traffic Generation articles, join niche-related Squidoo groups, make good contributions, and you will see traffic from your efforts.

Now, Hub Pages are similar to Squidoo lenses. Use the same approach as you do with Squidoo lenses and get rewarded with more traffic!

Oh…one more thing about these two websites: not only can they drive traffic to your site, they also can provide you with other income! They have programs in place where you can share in the revenue you generate with the sites, such as Adsense, Commission Junction, and Amazon! Neat, huh?!
