Turnitin.com, taking copyrighted work, claiming to be protecting education

Did you know that students in most High Schools and Colleges are asked to turn papers in to teachers using turnitin.com. Turnitin.com claims that they are checking the work for plagiarism which they do. But they are also building a database of every students work, based on the user agreement with the schools, they essentially own all of this material. They recently won a court case in Virginia which upheld their right to essentially steal all of this original work from unknowing students.
