What is the Silliest Question in the world?
The most common silly question is "Do you work here?" Is that a trick question? I'm wearing a nametag, shelving books, and I'm on the clock. Or maybe, they just have a genuine curiosity about my job. Are you open? We must be, you are inside the store asking me the question. Do you have any in the back? Sure, we love to hide the most popular merchandise in back. Why sell it? We could send it back to the manufacturer and get exactly what we paid for it. Can you call your competitor for me? NO, NO and NO! We are selling our merchandise, not theirs. Where is the men's tie section? We do not sell ties, this is a bookstore. What store is this? Are you getting the picture, surely you have some funny stories to tell. Make me and the other folks laugh. Leave a comment about your funny retail experience. And last but not least, when you are in a store and someone says, "Can I help you find something?" Do not reply with "Oh do you work here?" Of course they work there (refer to top of page) or are you just use to other customers finding your stuff for you.
