What is Website Hosting It has come to my attention that there is some confusion between the meaning of the terms Hosting and Domains. In this short article I will attempt to explain the meaning of hosting. The meaning of Domains will be covered in another article. When someone purchases a website (domain) for the first time he must then find a computer system or server on which to upload all the contents of his intended website. This process is known as finding a web host or hosting a domain. These web servers as they are commonly known are usually housed at the many ISP's and dedicated hosting companies that abound the net.. Sometimes the server is also housed at the place of business.
