Every time you are aboard on a sailboat, you should remember some important things to make your boating enjoyable and worthwhile. Here are some tips that can keep you away from danger when boating. 1. You should get the instructions and safety guidelines on how you should properly navigate and anchor your sailboat. Know the safety precautions when you encounter a storm at sea or whenever there are accidents or if there are malfunctions on your boat.
2. Ask and understand the policies regarding how to dive from a sailboat or how you should cruise during the night. You also need to know how you should refuel the sailboat.
3. You should check if all the passengers are wearing their life jackets. Remember that life jackets should have a personal floatation device approved by the U.S Coast Guard.
